Pi Xiu

I bought a few pairs of bronze Pi xiu.
there are believe to bring in fortune and wealth.

i placed one pair at my door,
another pair at my fortune location.
the last pair i kept for future use.

always perform a cleansing ritual whenever you buy them back home.
simply bathe them in seawater or salt water,
and sun-bathe them under bright sun,
to get rid of the negative energy within.
afterall, you never know how many pairs of hands had touched them in the shop before you bought them home. :o)

remember to face the pi xiu to the main door direction ok?

Merry Christmas 2007!

Merry christmas!!!!

i came home very late, last night.
partying out with friends.
lucky enough the train service was extended to 1.30am.
else i will be very heart pain having to folk out additional charges for taxi fares,
since they just increased their fares recently.

i was welcome with presents on my bed when i reach home.
it's from my family.

i really enjoy the feeling of receiving.
i am sure you do too.

thank you. *wink*

Eat Dead Cat!

"eat dead cat", a direct translation from cantonese.
meaning to admit to something which is not meant to....

yeah... times are really bad.
i need the money, for old age. :p

well.... not to worry for being misunderstood.
times will tell.
the balls not at my side yet. *hiak hiak hiak.....

Re: Tang Yuan

today went back to JB to pay respect to my father and my grandparents.
we brought some vegetarian noodles and glutinous rice ball in sweet soup as offerings.

next saturday is Dong Zhi, a chinese festival for the whole family to get together and make glutinous rice balls in sweet soup and offer to ancesters and deities; not forgetting to have a nice dinner with the whole family too.

i remember my parents told me when i was a young boy. the number of glutinous ball you eat, will tally with your age. eg. if you are 12yo, you'll eat 12 glutinous balls in sweet soup. of cos the balls was all tiny and cute in the olden days. ;o)

you cant expect me to eat 35 balls this year! haha
but i will eat a few, just for the kick of it.
afterall, i am a chinese you know.

Char Siew Stir Fry

this is one of my family favourite dish.
Char Siew Stir fry.

very nice to go with just some cucumber slices and plain rice.

go to market to buy char siew (50% fatty) and roast pork (lean).
remember to ask for more char siew sweet sauce from the hawker stall.

fry the chopped garlic till fragrance.
add in to fry the roast pork until crispy ( you'll see alot of oil seeping out from the pork)
pour in char siew and the sauce.
fry and mix well; add in chopped spring onion and serve hot! :)

HAPPY MAKAN TIME! yeah....
