Cannot Eat!

左边是名菜:谭家豆腐。
右边是家常菜:醋溜土豆丝。

土豆丝讲求刀工要细和一致。
我刀工勉强过关,土豆丝和配料的比例还好。菜色烧了出来还可以见人,酸味是有了可是没有咸味!

谭家豆腐讲究调味,烧工和选料。
简单的中国蒜,红辣椒和豆豉是绝配!
爆香后可以撩起你的食欲;对正在减肥的朋友是一道非常危险的美食佳肴!哈哈。。。

同样的配料,还可以把豆腐换成三层肉或烧肉同样美味!!

我知道我炒得不怎么样;离师父的手艺相差十万八千里。。。哦不。。。应该是连提都不配提呢!
哈哈哈。。。放心啦。。我才不会那么快放弃呢!
交了学费当然要加油啦!毕竟那可是我的血汗钱啊!

礼拜天在课堂上学了刀工,材料切了不要浪费。
师父就教我们炒菜。

虽然我们下厨应该是下个月的事情;
师父怕我们听讲课听到口吐白沫,
所以偷偷提前教我们炒简单的小菜。

我也是第一次在专业厨房烧菜;难免心情紧张嘛。

第一次用梅花炉来烧菜。
虽然火力没有餐馆那么旺;可是却比家里旺上很多倍。
一不小心就会把菜给烧糊了。
我控制火力的功夫有待加强。

我也从来没有感觉那么失败过。
怎么说。。我在家里烧的菜也是很受欢迎的。

我这次真的踢到铁板了。从没有过的挫折感。。。

i'd passed my 2nd module exam!!!

yeah!!!! today i'd passed my 2nd modular exam or test or assessment or whatever you name it! hahahaha

hmm.... today i sound so moody in my afternoon program.
guess i am exhausted ... mentally. i am so stress up preparing for the exam.

all the while i though culinary course is about cooking.... well, not really. i'd learnt food safety, kitchen safety, even chemical safety or fire safety too!!!

hahahaha.... all these theories is getting my nerves! ;p
but i am so lucky to have good teachers, fun easy to get along classmates and a good school.

though i am stress up running between my day job, radio, family and school;
i will put in my best to complete and will make my Teachers PROUD!

只是我们的身份不是厨师跟DJ,而是老师和学生。
哈哈哈。。。。

我开始上课了!而你们的SMS也是越来越少了!

Happy December!

oh my dua pek gong!

it's December liao leh!! ;p

i'd been so busy. so busy until i do not have enough of good rest and also not enough time to do house work, or keep my family company.

just embarked a whole new course. and it took me alot of courage to dive into this course. because this course will definitely drain away my saving... :~~(

anyway the course had started last saturday, so there are no turning back but to do my best and pass the exams!

yes! i will do my best to catch more rest whenever i can! haha
but do not worry lar... i will continue to give my best to select nice thai pop songs for you ok?

30th November 2008 - so Happening!!!

This year is a wonderful year for me.

i was an audience for Hsing Hai Concert.
yeah they had it on this same day too!

no wonder it's a success! (cos i was not in the orchestra!)



long time no see!
this uncle works in VCH.

i got involved in alot of cultural performances at VCH years ago,
that's why i knew this uncle since i was younger.

we both were so happy to see each other again!
i took the opportunity to have a photo with him.
i really won't know when i'll have the chance to see him again.
err....i only know his name is called "uncle".
but don't you worry!
we still can recall the daye we were busy behind the stage!

they even ask me to bring back home.
cos the other table don't get it!




Monkey-head mushroom in special Wasabi dressing.
Usually this dish is served in a big platter;
but i requested individual serving for each guest.
and you know what?
the Chef took the effort to help me decorate it before serving!
yes, again the other don't get it!




highly recommended by the Chef.
A double-boil soup with precious yellow fungus
and assorted expensive mushrooms.
it's simple nutritious and very nice clear soup to drink.




ms. Kang Li, the assistance manager;
recommended me this dish.
Stew winter melon.
it is really a dish who required years of experience,
in order to bring out the exclusive flavours from a tasteless winter melon.




Chef Xiao Kang, specially handle this dish for me.
This fry mee sua is one of his expertise!
texture just nice to be able to bitten off without much strength yet it is not soggy!
tastes just right to the note!
