from Batam!

this kueh lapis was ordered from Batam; brought over to Singapore by a friend.

it's so delicious! yum yum!

rich buttery aroma, not too dry, not too sweet, just nice for me and my family. :o)

Different point of view...

i took this picture of the Lotus flower some time back, in a little pond at my workplace.

when i took notice of this, the flower has already bloom to its best and the petals were almost falling off.

i missed the most beautiful part of the blooming flower period, but i also witness the forming of the lotus pod, where there are little seeds waiting to fall into the pond and grow new lotus flower.

it's one of the natural living cycle, happening by itself in the man-made little pond.
